Anker, an American accessories maker, has been honing its "anything you can do, I can do cheaper" business display for a considerable length of time, however hitherto has limited itself to things like Bluetooth speakers, earphones and compact charging packs with the occasional mobile phone case tossed in.
However, its current item declaration, a savvy speaker with Alexa integration that looks (and functions) like an Amazon Echo Dot, might take the copycat cake.
Anker's Amazon-lookalike device is known as the Eufy Genie. It's a little, round device similar to the Amazon Echo Dot that accompanies Alexa built-in however sounds better (at any rate according to Anker) and will cost even not as much as Amazon's entrance level savvy home device, coming in at only $49.99.
Like the Echo Dot, the Eufy Genie's Alexa is continually listening, awaiting summons to control the music, keep an eye on the status of shrewd home appliances and ordering items from Amazon.
The Genie has one trick up its sleeve that the standard Echo Dot does not, nonetheless, and that is the ability to interface with other Eufy devices – Anker's homebrew image of smart devices.
